Islam Temple
An Islam temple or Mosque is the building in which Muslims attend to worship God.
The mosque is generally the centre of a community and towns formed around this pivotal building.
In Muslim Countries a mosque is found at many street corners. This allows it to be very simple to attend prayers 5 times a day.

Physical design
Mosques come in all shapes and sizes, they are different for many areas, based on the density of Muslim population.
Every mosque has a mihrab, a niche in the wall that indicates the direction of Mecca which is the direction towards which Muslims pray.
Other common features include, minarets which are tall towers used to call the congregation to prayer. They are highly visible and are closely identified with mosques.
Normally there is a large rectangular or square prayer area.
Mosque designs consistently have a roof that has a single large dome on pendentives which is a constructive device permitting the placing of a circular dome over a square room.
There are usually separate prayer areas, with separate entrances for both men and women.Most mosques have a minbar (or pulpit) which is a place that Islamic scholar's are able to deliver a sermon or speech.

It is impossible to find images of people or statues in Mosques as in Islam it is forbidden that such things are kept or displayed.
At times, the interior walls of the mosque are decorated with verses from the Quran in Arabic calligraphy.
The patterns are made from a variety of materials including mosaics, stucco, stone, ceramics, and wood.
Mosques may be the place of worship, but it is accepted to pray wherever they want as long as it is a clean and healthy environment.
